Just a little goodbye to 2010!

Talon loves being outside!
Joe and Kim
Joe and I decided we wanted to spend New Year's Eve at our lakehouse.  We hadn't had a lot of opportunity to spend time there since coming back for the holidays so we went down on the 29th.  We wanted Paul and Candice to have a worry free and Talon free New Years so we took Talon with us.  He loves going to the lake!  Pete and Sandy didn't have plans and they usually have dinner with us on New Year's Eve so they came down on the 31st.  They brought their grandson Jaxon.  A whole new generation of Ylda's will be enjoying our new lakehouse.  I'm so excited about that!  One of my best friends from high school, Sherri, and her fiance Ted (he's from our high school class as well) joined Joe and me on the 30th for the festivities.

Fact or Crap?????

Pete and Sandy

We had a very relaxing couple of days.  The weather was cold but the days were full of sunshine and cloud-free.  It's so nice to go down there and not have a set plan on how you're going to fill your days.  You just get up in the morning, look at the beautiful sunrise and thank God for this beautiful world.  We had drinks on the deck in the evening and watched the sun set over the lake.

Ted was loving this game!
On New Year's Eve we went to a local Mexican restaurant for dinner.  Afterward we went back to the house for a bonfire in the fire pit (our first time to use it!) and a few fireworks for the kiddos.  It was a little chilly but once we got the fire pit going it was warm and toasty.  It was a so relaxing to sit by the fire and watch Papa Joe light the fireworks and watch other fireworks going off around the lake.  Later we had some table game time and a toast to bring in the new year.
Sunrising on the first morning of 2011!  Happy New Year
It was so fun to spend time with friends and family this holiday season.  I know 2011 is going to be a great year for us and I look forward to all it has to offer.  We have been in China for 2 1/2 years now and I'm hoping our time abroad will  be drawing to an end soon.  It's time to get back home and enjoy the ones we are so blessed to call our family and friends.

My new year wish is that you all will have a blessed 2011 and many more to come.
Love to all!
