Just a little bit of summer fun, June 2011 . . .

I've been home for a little over a week.  Joe got in on Thursday.  It's so nice to get together with all the kids.  We've been able to spend time with my parents and Joe's stepmother, Susan, and are hoping to catch up with other family and friends over the next two weeks.  I was able to spend a great Father's Day with my Dad.

On Saturday we finally got the boat down to the lakehouse and in the water.  The lake is way down but we were able to get the boat into the dock.  We spent the rest of the afternoon out on the water.  Joe, Paul and Jay put up speakers and hooked up a sound system at the boat dock.  Now we can chill and listen to music!   I didn't realize how much I missed being at the lake and out in a boat on the water.  It brings back so many childhood memories and I'm hoping that our kids and grandkids can make some great memories as well.

Where was Joe?  He was doing all kinds of projects around the house while we were out in the boat.  We plan to make sure he spends LOTS of time on the water next weekend!

On Sunday we spent the afternoon at the Ranger with the kids.  When we purchased the tickets it was scheduled as a night game but it was changed and we ended up in the Texas heat.  It was Talon's first Ranger game.  The Rangers didn't play well and lost but the afternoon was still enjoyable.

Finishing up with the rest of our doctor's appointments the first of the week and then headed back to the lake for the remainder of our stay.  Looking forward to a fun-filled 4th of July weekend and lots of visitors.  Will post again soon!

Love to all!

Thank you both so much for one unforgettable summer (so far). Words cannot express how grateful I am to be your daughter.
